Bo Burnham by Bo Burnham
Bo Burnham ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m the greatest rapper ever,â⬠as said by he himself, Bo Burnham in his hit song ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m Bo Yoâ⬠from the self-titled album, ââ¬Å"Bo Burnham.â⬠If I were to say so, Iââ¬â¢d have to agree with this statement. Bo Burnham, a musician, comedian, actor and singer/songwriter, is most known for the thing he created out of most or all of these traits, a great freestyle rapper. The greatest parts about this whole thing is when I got the album, how I found out he was discovered, and how well he can do his thing. I bought the album ââ¬Å"Bo Burnhamâ⬠off of iTunes one day because I had just found my favorite song-to-be, ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m Bo Yo.â⬠I went through the whole album and could have just laughed my head off. His songs are nicely put together for a freestyle rap album. Every song I listened to was turning into my new favorite song by him. I was kind of expecting this to happen however, as I like freestyle rap because itââ¬â¢s made up as you go. Pretty much every song he writes, or thinks of, is coming from the top of his head, and thatââ¬â¢s what I like about it; itââ¬â¢s original! Bo started his career while writing songs and performing them to his fellow classmates. He then decided to tape himself singing them and post the videos on YouTube. He intended to do this so his brother Pete could watch them as he was at college at the time, but never did he expect what was about to happen next. In the fall of 2007, a talent agency called The Gersh Agency, called up Bo and told him that he needed to be represented by them. It was a dream come true. Bo Burnham can rap as well as anyone, people like Eminem and such. Bo may be criticized about the music he creates and plays, but what really matters to him, is that he gets to do what he wants. So if you ever decide, ââ¬Å"hey I wanna do freestyle rap somedayâ⬠, please give Bo Burnham a good listen. Heââ¬â¢s got plenty of good ideas and songs about what to think about. Just give him a listen because you may be surprised about what you hear. If you like comedians, heââ¬â¢s your guy. If you like rap, he might as well be your guy! Just a warning to people, his songs may include profanity, but itââ¬â¢s still worth the listen!
The Basic Differences between the Tradition Term of Group Work and the Essay
The Basic Differences between the Tradition Term of Group Work and the Ideas behind Cooperative Learning Groups - Essay Example The Basic Differences between the Tradition Term of Group Work and the Ideas behind Cooperative Learning Groups Apart from the use of a part (small groups) of a whole, cooperative learning strategies differ fundamentally from traditional group work in a number of ways. Group work does not guarantee the full participation and mutual engagement of students in a group and, by extension, the whole class. The abilities and interests of students in a class are naturally not the same. Some may be very fast in picking while others are slow. Some may be weak in particular aspect of a subject and good in others. A relatively intelligent student in group may find it easy to accomplish group task and as such find the work interesting. A weaker student may not be that lucky and may have to coast along with his group members. There is no good reward that motivates the weak to double up. The group may be awarded points regardless of individual participation and growth. The group may earn recognition even if the weaker students perform woefully or if the gifted only carry along the weaker. The growth of indiv idual students is therefore not recognized as a contributor to group success. Conversely, cooperative learning strategies ensure active participation of all students using a reward structure that makes individual members to invest in each otherââ¬â¢s learning. The reward structure is motivational. A group in cooperative learning strategy may earn points when there is comparative improvement of each member of the group.

Image of Nurses Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words
Image of Nurses - Essay Example From the survey results, it was quite evident that peopleââ¬â¢s perceptions of nurses and nursing are quite different from the ideal picture painted by nursing professional institutions and the nurses themselves. Out of the six individuals who responded to the mini survey, two believed that the image of nurses and the nursing profession is negative while the remaining four individuals believed that nurses and their profession are flawless. An image refers to the mental picture that represents something real. In the nursing profession, image signifies the nurseââ¬â¢s professional qualities, as well as the conduct that represents the nurseââ¬â¢s competence (D'Antonio, 2010). The majority of the sample group believed that nurses encompassed highly qualified persons within the nursing profession. In addition, nurses provide holistic health care to groups and individuals and take on responsibilities and duties in an autonomous manner. Nurses provide health services on all spectru ms of the health care scheme such as the primary, secondary and tertiary levels and take on key responsibilities in education and maintaining the welfare of the focus group, i.e. patients. The sample group also believed that nurses are independent professionals who work within a nursing team. Moreover, nurses are highly active members of medical teams that provide health care and look after the health of patients (Polifko-Harris, 2007). Nurses provide comprehensive care to persons of all ages, socioeconomic status and cultural background on the basis of the patientââ¬â¢s emotional, physical, intellectual, psychological, spiritual and social needs. The sample group further noted that nurses are staunch advocates for the promotion of safe environments, innovative medical research, practical participation in determining health policy and in patient and health care system management and education. The mini survey group asserted that nurses provided unbiased care to all ill persons. T his is in keeping with the professional requirements. The nursing profession is a robust combination of technology, social science, physical science and nursing theory in caring for patients. The group also argued that the nursing profession provided clear guidelines to guide the conduct and practice of nurses while adhering to professional principles and standards. The foundation of the nursing profession is the provision of high-quality health care, communication, education, advocacy and maintenance of positive and unbiased attitude when dealing with patients. When questioned on the difference between Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs), the sample group acknowledged that a key difference lies in their academic qualifications. An RN is a nurse who graduated from a four-year nursing program. RNs hold a Bachelor of Science degree or have a two-year nursing program with an Associateââ¬â¢s Degree. An LPN is one who has graduated after undergoing a one-year practical nursing program. RNs, therefore, have higher educational qualifications than LPNs. As such, RNs have greater knowledge of clinical practice, delivery systems, research utilization, resource management, physiology and pharmacology (Polifko-Harris, 2007). With regard to their responsibilities, RNs have more responsibilities than LPNs. In some instance, RNs supervise LPNs since RNs can make independent decisions, while LPNs cannot. Moreover, RNs address more issues than LPNs. LPNs have a multitude of

The American model of representation Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words
The American model of representation - Essay Example This research will begin with the statement that many nations have focused on implementing democracy. From the definition of democracy, it emerges that decision-making should rely on the will of the people and promote the public interests. However, it is unrealistic for each individual to contribute to active decision making. This is the reason why representative democracy has been adopted. In the United States, representative democracy is implemented by ensuring that the people choose representatives who sit in the two houses of the Congress. The founders of the American constitution acted proactively in support of democracy. The founders ensured that two houses of the Congress existed that would complement each other in the lawmaking process. The founders of the constitution developed a rational understanding of the purpose of both houses, which is still implemented in the modern day. It is commonly referred to as the bicameral legislature. Despite its functionality over the years, it is evident that this model of representation presents certain challenges. A democratic representative serving in either the lower or the upper house has critical responsibilities of representing the people who have elected him into office. The lower house is comprised of representatives chosen from states and districts. Each state or district chooses the number of representatives in accordance with the population of each state or district.

Domestic Poverty Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2500 words
Domestic Poverty - Research Paper Example All these are to assist in understanding domestic poverty and how it occurs as well as the possible ways in which it can be resolved. Various scholars have studied the issue of domestic poverty both in the context of the United States and in the context of other countries. One of such scholars are Danziger & Haveman (2001), who studies and tried to understand various parameters of domestic poverty in the United States as well as how it has been growing since the times of the World War II. Collier & Dollar (2002) discovered that strengthening domestic institutions and policies regarding national wealth could be a useful tool in dealing with domestic poverty. Imig (1996) brought out some of the issues that make anti-poverty groups unable to effectively deal with poverty. However, there are very few attempts made to explain possible solutions to the issue of domestic poverty and this is what makes this research very important. In this research paper, I mainly rely on the information fro m the internet as my major source of information. In this paper, papers written on previous research about domestic poverty are used. To make the information derived from this research more accurate, I have relied mainly on most up-to-date books and research journals written about poverty. This is what we call use of secondary data in a research finding and it is widely used by researchers in their research due to its advantages. One of the major advantages of this kind of research method that has made me to choose it in my research is that it is inexpensive to undertake since it does not require data collection procedures. In my research, I was able to obtain different factors thought to have played a major part in contributing to domestic poverty. According to CQ Researcher (2007), one of the factors, that fuel poverty in the United States is Katrina devastation. Hurricane Katrina coused major destructions in the United States (Brunsma, Overfelt & Picou, 2007). Another factor is c oming in of foreigners especially from poor developing countries and the education inconsistencies among the American citizens. Another factor that has played a very great part in causing domestic poverty is the increasing gap between the rich people and the poor people. This has actually made most of the American to continue suffering in poverty despite their hard work in attempt to earn a living. In my research I also found out that, most poor people are women and among these women a greater percentage are single parents. I also found out that majority of the poor people are not educated beyond high school levels. Moreover, according to 2006 national census, majority of people living in poverty are the children and the old people (CQ Research, 2007). We also discovered that majority of the areas are most affect by domestic poverty are the southern regions of the country. In these regions, the cash allocated to antipoverty programs is very little in comparison to the poverty levels in those regions. The possible solutions to the problem of domestic poverty are actually any activity that can eliminate a cause of the domestic poverty or activities that empower the affected people. Since the majority of people affected by poverty are women, we can have gender empowerment of these women as one of the possible solutions to the problem of domestic poverty. The reason why I have identified this as a possible

Jewish Discussion Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words
Jewish Discussion - Essay Example Though Lisaââ¬â¢s request can be understandable from a personal standpoint when factoring in the seriousness with which she has began to take her faith over the last 10 years or so, to ensure fairness to both parties, her supervisorââ¬â¢s point should also be considered as well. There are various factors within this scenario that should be looked into before they are able to adequately absorb all the issues that come into play in this situation. The first issue to be taken into consideration is the length of time that Lisa has been seriously practicing her Jewish customs. This is to determine the level of seriousness with which she takes her faith so as to decide whether her request is a genuine one or simply an attempt at getting the weekend free for her own enjoyment. Despite that she did not become a serious practicing Jew until late into her 20s, it should be noted that since then, she has made an attempt to follow the various customs that are required of her for a period o f over ten years. The length of time shows the level of commitment that Lisa has to her Jewish religion and thus it can be decided that her request is a genuine one. ... If Lisa is granted the permission that she seeks, it will seem as if she is receiving special treatment due to her religion, which may bring about a number of complications as a result. The special treatment of one worker over the others may lead to a drop in morale among other issues that would cause a decrease in the level of quality of work output as a result (Levy, 2010). Thus, it is essential for the supervisor to come up with a way that will ensure there is no special treatment that is offered to Lisa. There are various ways for solving this, and this includes Lisa taking on extra shifts during the rest of the week to compensate for the time that she wishes to excuse herself. Another way is through the exchange of shifts with other nurses who may be free during these times which though may take some convincing as it would be hardà to convince one to give up their free weekend. However the maintenance of fairness among employees is the most essential issue and the main concer n that should be upheld. However, the supervisor can be said to have lacked the required cultural competence in the handling of that particular situation. Though his concerns were technically justifiable, the means in which he voiced these concerns could have been done in a better manner. It is always important to take into consideration the feelings of the individual that one is talking to when communicating with a person from the workplace despite the position that either party may hold (Befort & Budd, 2009). His harsh refusal and suggestion that Lisa moves back to New York could be taken out of context according to the nature of the conversation that was taking

Mesh Networks Coursework Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 10000 words
Mesh Networks - Coursework Example As organizations are relying more on high-speed wireless networks, security is a vital factor. Wireless security is a framework that emphasizes on prevention of workstations or networks from unauthorized access. An automated system known as mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) is integrated within the wireless networks to establish communication between wireless nodes or access points. However, MANET does not have centralized administration. MANET is defined as ââ¬Å"Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) refers to a type of mobile network in which each node has the ability to act as a router, permitting adaptable multi-hop communicationsâ⬠[3]. The ad-hoc on demand distant vector protocol (AODV) that is operated by MANET provides loopholes for the hackers to gain access to the network or the system via a wireless network. AODV is widely used due to its significant advantages such as lower network overhead with a complex algorithm. However, AODV does not maintain the database for routing infor mation in the router. This is the area where there is a possibility of the hackers to break in the network. This paper will discuss the details associated with attacks incorporated with AODV. Moreover, other type of threats that may affect the domestic wireless network operating on an 802.11 will also be defined and discussed. 3. Introduction MANET is constructed on multiple routers knows as multi hop communication paths, these multi hop communication paths, can be dislocated any time and in any direction. The routing protocols that are associated with MANET are categorized in to hybrid, table-driven and demand-driven routing protocols [1]. Table-driven protocols attempt to synchronize routing information with the routing table for each wireless router. For example, Destination Sequenced Distance Vector (DSDV) and Wireless Routing Protocol (WRP) protocols fall under the category of table-driven protocols. Demand-driven protocols are associated with AODV and dynamic source routing pr otocol (DSR). Hybrid routing protocols interlinks with the other two protocols i.e. table driven and demand driven routing protocols. The wireless MANET network is associated with protocols that are not well designed in terms of network security, as there is no centralized administration to monitor or configure MANET. However, most of the wireless network protocols associated with MANET is designed for optimum bandwidth utilization but not for optimal security. These factors have made the wireless network vulnerable for the hackers and cyber criminals. One of the examples of mesh networks are illustrated in Fig. 1. Figure 1 Source: (Siraj and Bakar 1263-1271) One of the latest examples for mesh network is the youtube architecture, as shown Fig 1.2. Figure 2 Source: (Staehle et al. 144-148) In this competitive and evolutionary world of technological advancements, threats and vulnerabilities are a great concern. Similarly, any wireless protocol must address security issues during the design phase. The protocol must add
